Camera/Microphone isn't working on video chat


  • Here are a few things to check before you proceed:
    • Check your internet connection to make sure it’s works
    • Make sure your camera and microphone aren’t off in the video call
    • Make sure nothing is blocking the camera lens
    • Try unplugging your headphones to see if the computer's internal microphone works
    • Check your headphones on another device to see if the microphone is working

Update your browser

Check permissions on your browser

  • Most of the time when your camera and/or microphone isn’t working is because of your browser settings not allowing “permission.” For a browser to access your camera and/or microphone for a new website, it should ask for permission to access those functions on your computer.

Check your computer settings

Clear your cache and cookies

  • It's possible that this is caused by an old mic/cam permissions cookie, or possibly because of another application that's taking priority access. Try clearing your cache and cookies for your entire browser and then restarting your computer.
