CALL OF DUTY RULES
LAST UPDATED: June 10th, 2024
1.1 Match Procedure
- Tournament Teams
- A “team” will consist of 4 Players and up to 4 allowable substitutes for a total of 8 players per roster. Multiple teams from each eligible institution will be allowed to participate in the tournament.
- If a team has less than 4 players, the match will be continued to be played (ex: 3v4). Otherwise, if the team with less than 4 players does not want to play with less than 4 they will take a forfeit.
- Bots are not allowed for official Vanta matches.
- All players on the team have to be 16 and older in order to participate. Team managers/admins must be able to verify a players’ age upon request.
- Set Length
- All tournament sets will be played best-of-5 games (Hardpoint, Search and Destroy (SND), Control, Hardpoint, and SND if a 5th game is needed).
- A “Game” is defined as: An instance of competition on the designated map that is played until a winner is determined by one of the following methods, whichever occurs first: (a) completion of the final objective or (b) a Team forfeiting

- You will need to go in and make sure “CoDCast” is turned off.
- Team coaches or team captains will be responsible for communicating the game-generated lobby code so that the opposing team can join the lobby.
- Side Selection: The “Home Team” will select either “SpecGru” or “KorTac” side for Game 1. Sides will swap after each match.
- Map Selection: The “Home Team” will select the first map in the series from the eligible list of “Hardpoint” maps. Teams will then alternate map selection for each game until the completion of the series selecting eligible maps from the following game modes:

- Stoppage of Play

- Technical Issues
- Stoppage of play may be requested at any time for the above reasons. The team initiating the pause must first call for it in chat. Players may not move around the map while the pause is in effect. Once both teams are ready, the team who initiated the pause will unpause it. Each team will have a total of 5 minutes of pause time per match.
- If a player drops or disconnects and cannot return within the 5 minutes, that player’s team may decide to continue playing or forfeit.
- The game may only be paused for the following reasons
- Remake Procedure: In the event of a server crash that impacts all ten players, the game may be remade. Picks and bans must stay consistent with the previous iteration of the game, and the rest of the game will be played out in full.
- In the event that an incorrect rule set is loaded on the server, the match will be stopped and reset. Any rounds played in the incorrect format will not count towards the match outcome. When the match is recreated, all bans and operator selections previously made should remain the same.
- If a team is missing one or more players a grace period of 15 minutes will be given to find those players. After the 15 minutes, the team missing players will forfeit the match, unless they are going to continue to play 3 v 4. This should be clearly communicated in the Vanta platform and screenshots should be taken for good measure in the event of a forfeit dispute.
- The lobby leader must not start the game before all players from both teams have joined the lobby.
- Only those registered for the current match have the right to be in the game lobby. This includes players, coaches and designated streamers.
