1.1 Match Procedure
- Tournament Teams
- A “team” will consist of one (1) Player. Multiple teams from each eligible institution will be allowed to participate in the tournament.
- Set Length
- All tournament sets will be played best-of-3 games, until Top 8 where sets will be played best-of-5. The ruleset will remain the same between the two.
- One (1) GAME is considered to be first to three (3) ROUNDS.
- One (1) MATCH is considered to be a best of three (3) GAMES.

2.1 Game Rules
- Game Setup:
- The team that is the designated “Home” team will create the lobby and will add the “Away” team to that lobby. Team captains or coaches are expected to communicate via the Vanta platform to get the correct usernames added.
- Main Menu > Online > Player Match > Create Session
- Create Session:
- Session Name: All Players Welcome
- Area: Close to Me
- Language: Any
- Connection Quality Preference: 4 or Better
- 2P Battle Gauntlet Mode: Off
- Max Number of Participants: 2
- Simultaneous Groups: 1
- Private Slots: 1
- Platform Restrictions: Enable Cross-Platform Play
- Advanced Settings:
- Consecutive Win Limit: None
- Victory Conditions: First to 1 Win
- Rounds: 3
- Round Duration: 60
- Pass Code Settings: None
- Then select “Create Session”
- After setting up the session, select “Invite Friend” from the sub-menu to invite the opponent to the match.
- Remake Procedure: In the event of a server crash that impacts both players, the game may be remade. Picks and bans must stay consistent with the previous iteration of the game, and the rest of the game will be played out in full.
3.1 Stage Selection
- Players will select stages according to the parameters set below. One (1) GAME is considered to be a first to three (3) ROUNDS. Each round of one game will be played on the same stage.
- Random stage select for Game 1.
- Winner of the previous game must keep the same character. For example, if player A wins game 1 with Lars, they must play Lars again in game 2.
- Loser of the previous game may choose the next stage (and play with the same character) OR switch characters and play with a random stage.
4.1 Restrictions
- New Characters/Stages
- In the event of a new character/stage being released, that character/stage is prohibited until two weeks after their initial release date.
- Banned Characters/Stages/Costumes & Colors
- Characters that are seen as largely banned across collegiate and professional competitions are likely to be banned by Vanta as well. Characters shown on the list below are unable to be used in Vanta-sanctioned competition.
- If the content is disabled in Ranked or Normal matchmaking games, it will also be prohibited in Vanta official matches.
- If an opponent uses a banned character, please report to support@vanta.ggwith a screenshot so that a forfeit loss will be awarded to the team that used the banned character.

- Controllers used must be standard game controllers. (Xbox, Playstation, etc.) No turbo, macro, or programmable controllers are allowed.
- The use of a pause to gain a tactical advantage is strictly prohibited. If this occurs, please reach out to support@vanta.gg to report this issue. Make sure to provide screenshots, as all other reports will be considered invalid without them.
5.1 Reporting
- Score Reporting Format: Scores will be reported in “Win/Loss” format. Teams will indicate the number of games won by each team, final scores should be one of the following: 2-0 or 1-1.
- Forfeits: Forfeits will be considered a 2-0 win for the team that showed up to play.
