What are the match rules for Tetris?
TETRIS RULES
1.1 Match Procedure
- Tournament Teams
- A “team” will consist of 1 Player. Multiple teams from each eligible institution will be allowed to participate in the tournament.
- Set Length
- All tournament sets will be played within a 1-week match window.
- A “Game” is defined as: the 1 week window in which a registered Tetris player competes to earn as many points as possible. “1 week” is defined as the time between one match and the next. The score for the week is due on the day of the scheduled match, ie. Friday.
2.1 Game Rules
- Site: All Games will be played on the Vanta platform.
- No other versions of Tetris will be allowed.
- The player will have the ability to practice as many times as they like during the week on the Vanta platform.
- They will then have a prompt to play one game that will count as their official score for the week.
- They will enter the game arena to play their one official game for the week, and the platform will automatically upload the score to the rankings page once that game is complete.
3.1 Scoring Rules/Reporting
- The score from their official game will be automatically updated to the rankings page upon completion.
- Do not combine the scores of your games played throughout the week. We are only accepting the score from the official game.
- Scores will be reported in a points format, accumulating throughout the season to determine playoff rankings.
